This presentation will walk you through the Buy American Act and Trade Agreement Act discussing how these affect opening hardware choices for projects. The speakers will discuss the requirements of expectation to these acts along with government mandates that create funded projects. The overall presentation will include discussion on the following:

*          Buy American Act (BAA)

*          Trade Agreements Act (TAA)

*          North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

*          Government Procurement Agreement - World Trade Organization (WTO-GPA)

*           American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)

 The presentation has DHI credits of 2.0 units.

Terry Collins is currently the Business Development Manager for Government Solutions in     Ingersoll  Rand Security Technology. His current position provides Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies and its channel partners an accurate source of research in the government markets, data on sales projections, trends and competitor activities.

He is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Terry is involved with several SIA working groups related to technology and federal, state and local legislation. He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Security Industry Association (SIA) and National Fire Protection Association, International (NFPA).

Chuck is currently the Business Development Manager for Government Solutions in Ingersoll Rand Security Technology. He is based in West Palm Beach, FL, has a BS in Business Administration from Old Dominion University in VA, and has industry memberships in the Gold Coast Chapter of Door and Hardware Institute (DHI), Security Industry Association (SIA), and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Chapter 254 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL
